New Families

A few days after you complete the online registration, your Scout will be officially registered with Pack 9. The Longhorn Council regularly syncs their records with Scoutbook, the program we use to track advancement and to communicate about Den Meetings and other events with families. When this happens, you will receive an email asking you to connect to your Scout's account. Please open that email and follow the instructions there!

We have a private Facebook group for families only. This is a place we use to post photos, event reminders, fundraisers, and more. You'll need to be invited to the group or request access. For the privacy of our Scouts, we are very careful about who we provide access to.  You are welcomed to invite grandparents, aunts, uncles, godparents, etc.  Please let us know in advance by sending us an email at chair@pack9fortworth.org - that way we don't deny them access.  Join us there when you can! 

There are a couple of documents that house all the information that families who are new to Cub Scouting need. The first, published by the BSA, is the Family Information Guide. It's a general guide to how Cub Scouting works. The second, which will be sent via email to new families, contains information more specific to our Pack, including how our Pack is organized, how we communicate, what you need to buy for your Scout, uniforming requirements, what our Pack dues are, and more.  Also, please check out the Den Information page of this website.
